The purpose of Elkdale's music ministry is to magnify Jesus and help the church respond to his grace. As we do this, we will grow as disciples who make disciples.
Worship Choir
The worship choir leads in our traditional service and helps us fulfill the call to “address one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs” found in Ephesians 5:19. They sing special anthems as well as lead worship during congregational music. This group is for anyone 16 and over and meets on Sundays at 4:30pm to rehearse.
Worship Band
The worship band helps accompany the voice of the church for our contemporary service. It consists of skilled instrumentalists and vocalists who desire to lead the congregation in worship. This group is by tryout and meets on Wednesday nights following Grow Groups to rehearse.
Student Band
The student worship band leads music for Wednesday night Student Worship and Bible Study. It consists of growing instrumentalist and vocalists who are learning to lead their peers in worship.
Children’s Choirs
God commands his people to sing. At Elkdale, we believe it's vital to teach our kids how to obey this command. Our age-graded Children's Choirs meet on Wednesday nights during Real Kids. These groups usually perform for the church in December and May.
