At Elkdale our goal is to provide a safe and loving environment for children to learn about God, His Word, and His world. We want to introduce each child to Jesus, lead them in a growing relationship with Him, and teach them how they can serve Jesus and love others.
On Sunday mornings, evenings, and Wednesday evenings, Elkdale's secure nursery is open for children under 4 years of age. We would love to care for your children so that you can participate in another ministry of our church. All of our nursery workers are thoroughly screened and background-checked before they are allowed to work with your children.
Elkdale offers Children's Church (4 year old - 1st grade) during both Sunday morning services in the 4 year old Sunday School classroom. The kids leave the sanctuary when instructions are given. This is a time for the kids to gather with a leader to study, listen, and learn more about God
Between our morning services, at 9:45 am, Sunday School is offered to people of all ages. Children's classes (2 years - 6th grade) meet in the preschool wing and the children's building.
We use The Gospel Project for Kids, which is a Christ-centered Bible study resource that follows a chronological timeline of Bible events from pre-creation to eternity. Each week, these stories come to life through video, music, activities, and more. The curriculum shows how each one of us fits into the big story of God's plan.
On Wednesdays from 5:30pm-7:30pm (Aug-May), kids are invited to Music, Missions, and More. Grades 1-6 will make their way through several activities each night. From singing to studying about missionaries in Nepal, from learning how to find Leviticus to playing the Ukulele, each child can grow in M3.
